Experience the Power. Canon's HS SYSTEM with a 12.1 Megapixel CMOS and DIGIC 4 Image Processor improves shooting in low-light situations without the need for a flash and lowers noise levels at higher ISO settings. The Canon HS SYSTEM takes the frustration out of low light shooting. The system delivers clear, blur-free shots with all the ambiance intact, and frees you from the sometimes unwanted effects of using the flash. Beautiful low light shots are possible at both low and high ISO speeds, and the dynamic range is expanded to retain maximum detail in highlight and shadow areas. The system is the result of two technologies brought together in a compact PowerShot. The first is the 12.1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor, which positions the light-receiving surface for optimal light reception. More light means clearer, blur-free images with plenty of detail and nuance, even in dark areas. Working together with the CMOS sensor to deliver the HS SYSTEM is Canon's advanced DIGIC 4 Image Processor, which actively reduces noise and delivers high speed image processing.

Tobias CONCLUSION: With each generation, so that the Canon IXUS series of simple to operate and still have good results. Like its predecessor, it slips easily into your pocket (or where I will be recommended at the end of this review). This point could be have the best shot, have a DSLR $ 5k is not much good you do if you leave the house because it's not worth the effort to lug along. Unlike many other small cameras, it does not sacrifice features or quality. Well, there is no reasonable manual control, things like shutter speed, aperture, ISO. You have access to this level of control buried deep in the menus. It took a while to recognize Canon, that for most of us, if we were crazy with this kind of thing on a regular basis, we would be with a different camera. This camera is designed to operate under extreme comfort, control, or nth degree QUALITY DETAILS: There is a small camera and carries the baggage that comes with the convenience of having so much luggage. (Sorry, could not resist) None of the issues as they come as part of the convenience trade-offs made me consider something other than the 5-star rating this camera deserves. One problem with all small cameras, the built-in flash. They are all underpowered and create red eyes. Both problems are caused by the need for the small camera, the flash must be small and close to the lens. Canon does so by introducing some really good noise cancellation so you (actually the camera) can shoot at a relatively high ISO in low light by enabling faster shutter speeds. The result is an image that is both low noise and no noise. And the best part is that the camera will take care of everything so you do not need. As a result, you can take pictures in a brightly lit room, without having to use flash at all - the shutter response, as in any small digital camera for $ 500, is a little slow to effectively raise children and pets. The trick is to want to have a great sense of timing and a shutter that reacts instantly burst mode or a reasonably fast (> 4 times / sec). This camera has none. Some other suggestions that apply: Normally at this point I would like to get some details about setting the ISO manually or selecting a color space. However, this camera is simply not relevant. You are buying this camera because you want to take great photos without having to worry about it. If you want to "take their photography to the next level after a great resource is the shooter Confessions of a Digital Camera: Get professional-quality photos with your compact camera. Finally I found the Case Logic QPB-1 Compact Digital Camera Case (black / gray) is the right size for this camera and 'semi-rigid, so to get a reasonable amount of protection but do not add much bulk. It's made even better by using one of these, Nite IZE SB1-2PK-01 Size-1 S-Biner, Black, 2-Pack, to ensure a belt loop. 128 of 130 people found this review helpful. Canon ELPH 100 HS - UR going to pile it by George Banck just received my Canon ELPH 100 HS} {orange and I am ecstatic. The camera boots almost immediately. Installed a 16GB SDHC card class 10 and now has 5000 + photos or 60 minutes 12MB capacity for HD video. The image stabilization at maximum zoom digital 4X4/16x works fine! The camera fits easily in your pocket and is very easy @ ~ 5 ounces, the Canon CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 processor makes this very point and shoot camera. By default, it automatically selects the level of light, tremors, goal focus, shutter speed, flash / noflash and ISO best type to take perfect pictures of the scene almost every time you press the correct button 1 / 2 way (1) before full (2) to take the pictures. But be sure to get a card for the class 10.
